The Great Outdoors
Leave it to Martha Stewart to offer some really cool tips for outdoor parties. It is actually possible to recreate the suggestions. From converting an old cot into a outdoor daybed using fabric and throw pillows (think I'll try this one myself) to gathering stones to act as napkin weights. The simplest handmade touch can add so much flair to your get-together. Check 'em out and try 'em out. Entertaining does not need to be expensive, just creative!

All things lemon
Lemon is one of my favorite scents and flavors - it is fresh and invigorating. The cool thing is that lemons are versatile, they are the inspiration behind amazing ceramics, centerpieces, yummy eats, drinks and party favors. I have noticed a lot more use of the lemon for indoor and outdoor celebrations. Below are some creative ways to jazz things up!

A different 'spin' on parties...
You've heard the buzz on 'eco-chic' weddings so it's no surprise to see a growing interest in eco-friendly children's parties as well. What a wonderful example to set for little ones - and they'll never know the difference. Food, decor, favors and toys are still accounted for but each has it's own 'spin'. I found these little gems on greenplanetparties.com I especially love the fabric goods, organic cupcake centerpiece and 'tree in a box' favors. Check out the site and maybe you'll be inspired for your little one's next party, I know I am!

Wedgwood
Wedgwood fine china has adorned tables around the world for 25o years. One of the highlights of my bridal registry was selecting a formal china pattern and of course it was Wedgwood. I absolutely loved it because it was different from most...here are a few patterns, including the one I selected (India) that I think are truly elegant.

Garden Roses...
…are absolutely gorgeous in their natural and magnificently fragrant state. They are also the inspiration for legions of folks who skillfully recreate their beauty as gifts, decor and edible delights for us to enjoy. Needless to say they certainly add an understated elegance to just about everything!
